This page explains what happens to your information when you visit this website, buy My Course Library, or use the app itself. We've tried to write it in plain language, because most of it is genuinely simple: this product is built to collect as little as possible.
This website
This landing page uses cookies and similar tracking technologies — specifically, the Meta Pixel (from Facebook/Instagram) — to measure how our ads are performing and to show relevant ads to people who've visited this page. Through the Pixel, Meta may collect information about your visit, such as which pages you viewed and actions you took (like clicking "Get Instant Access"), and use it to build advertising audiences, including showing you or similar users ads for this product elsewhere.
You can opt out of this kind of tracking by adjusting your ad preferences directly with Meta at facebook.com/ads/preferences, or by using your browser's cookie/privacy settings to block third-party trackers. This tracking is limited to this website — it has no connection to the My Course Library app itself, which remains 100% private (see below).
When you buy
Checkout is handled by a third-party payment platform (currently GoHighLevel, processing payments via Stripe). When you purchase, that platform collects the information needed to complete the transaction — typically your name, email address, and payment details. We receive your name and email so we can deliver your download and provide support if you need it. We never see or store your full payment/card details — that's handled entirely by the payment processor.
Your name and email may also be stored as a contact record in our checkout platform, the same way any online store keeps a record of who purchased what. We use this only for order fulfillment and support — not marketing, unless you separately opt in to hear from us.
The app itself
Once you've downloaded and opened My Course Library, it runs entirely inside your own browser. It has no account system, no server, and no connection to the internet for its normal operation. Every course, note, and link you add is stored locally on your device, using your browser's built-in storage (IndexedDB) — never transmitted anywhere, never seen by us.
The one exception: if you choose to add a Dropbox or Google Drive video link to a lesson, your browser will naturally make a request to Dropbox or Google to load that video — the same as it would for any embedded video on any website. That request is between your browser and that platform; we're not involved and don't see it.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of outside services to run this business:
- Stripe — payment processing
- GoHighLevel — checkout page hosting and order/contact records
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising and ad performance tracking, via the Meta Pixel described above
Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on their platforms. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, their practices beyond what's described here.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, or to delete it, at any time. Since the app itself stores nothing on our end, this mainly concerns your name and email in our order records. Email hello@mycourselibrary.com and we'll handle it.
Children's privacy
This product isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site or the app after a change means you accept the update.
